About this policy

This Cookie Policy explains how the Little Journey Planner marketing website at littlejourney.ca uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. The site is operated by Little Journey Innovation Inc. ("Little Journey", "we", "us").

This policy covers the marketing website only. The Little Journey Planner app at app.littlejourney.ca is described in our Privacy Policy.

Effective date: October 29, 2026

What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser. When you come back, the website can read that file. For example, it can remember a choice you made.

Websites also use similar technologies. Some store information in your browser in a different way, such as local storage, which keeps a small piece of data on your device until you clear it. Others don't store anything, such as scripts that measure how a page is used. In this policy, "cookies" means both cookies and these similar technologies.

Some cookies are first-party, which means our own site sets them. Others are third-party, which means a service we use sets them, such as Google.

Cookies also differ in how long they last. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them.

The kinds of cookies we use

We put cookies into two categories.

Strictly necessary

The site needs these to work properly and securely. They also remember your cookie choices and, if you pick one, your preferred light or dark theme. They are always on and cannot be turned off from the cookie settings, because the site will not work as expected without them. They are not used for advertising and do not track you across other websites.

Analytics

These tell us how people find and use the site: which pages they visit, which buttons they click (such as "Start your family plan") and roughly where visitors come from. We use this to improve the site.

Analytics cookies stay off until you opt in. Before you choose, no analytics scripts load. We also use Google Consent Mode, which is set to "denied" by default, so Google Analytics does not set cookies until you accept analytics. If you accept, analytics starts. If you decline or do nothing, it stays off.

We do not use advertising or marketing cookies on this site, and we do not sell your information.

Cookie names, durations and behaviour are set by each provider and may change. We review this list from time to time and update it when we add or remove a service.

How to change your choices

You can change your mind at any time. Select Cookie settings in the footer of any page to reopen the cookie preferences. You can then turn analytics on or off.

If you withdraw consent, we delete the Google Analytics cookies on our site and reload the page, so analytics stops from then on. You can also delete cookies yourself in your browser (see below).

Browser controls

Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies. You can usually find these options under "Settings", "Privacy" or "Security". Help pages for common browsers:

If you block all cookies, some parts of the site may not work. For example, we won't be able to remember your cookie choices. If you delete the lj_consent cookie, we'll ask for your choices again on your next visit. Clearing your browser's site data also removes the lj-home-theme local storage item, and the site goes back to following your device's light or dark setting.

Google Analytics opt-out

Besides our cookie settings, Google offers a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. It stops Google Analytics on all websites you visit in that browser.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when we change the services we use or how we use cookies. When we do, we'll post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If a change needs your consent, we'll ask again through the cookie banner.
