About these terms
These Terms of Service ("terms") explain the rules for using Little Journey Planner ("Little Journey", "we", "us"), including our website at littlejourney.ca and our app at app.littlejourney.ca (together, the "service").
Little Journey Innovation Inc. operates Little Journey. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
We have tried to write these terms in plain language. If something is unclear, contact us using the details at the end of this page.
Effective date: October 29, 2026
Who can use Little Journey
Little Journey is built for parents and guardians who plan their family's activities.
- You must be an adult who has reached the age of majority in the province or territory where you live.
- You must be a parent, legal guardian, or another adult responsible for the children whose activities you plan.
- Children cannot create accounts. Kids appear in Little Journey only by a nickname you choose, and we do not require birth dates.
Your account
- Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.
- Keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
- Tell us right away if you think someone has used your account without permission.
- One account belongs to one person. Do not share your account or create one for someone else without their permission.
Acceptable use
Please use Little Journey to plan your family's activities and to coordinate with families you know. You agree not to:
- Break any law, or help anyone else break one.
- Add information about another person that you have no right to share, or harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone.
- Upload content that is hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise harmful, especially anything involving children.
- Try to access accounts, calendars, or data that are not yours, or try to get around security or access controls.
- Interfere with the service, overload it, or use automated tools to scrape, copy, or collect data from it.
- Use the service to send spam or unsolicited advertising.
- Copy, resell, or build a competing product from the service.
We may remove content or limit access if we reasonably believe these rules have been broken.
Sharing activities with other families
Your household calendar is private by default. You can choose to share individual activities with other families, one at a time.
- You decide what to share and with whom. Only share activities with families you trust.
- When you share an activity, the families you share it with can see the details you included. They may remember, write down, or act on what they saw, even if you later stop sharing.
- Only share information you have the right to share, and keep details about children to what is needed. Use nicknames, not full names, and avoid adding sensitive details.
- You are responsible for the information you choose to share, and for how you use information other families share with you. Please treat it with care and do not pass it on without permission.
What Little Journey does not do
Little Journey is a planning tool. It is not an activity provider, a booking service, or an agent for any organizer.
- We do not register children with organizers. Registrations, payments, and waivers happen directly between you and the camp, club, school, or other organizer.
- We do not manage organizer waitlists. Any waitlist position, spot, or confirmation comes from the organizer, not from us.
- We are not responsible for organizers. We do not supervise, endorse, or guarantee any activity, program, or organizer you add or see in Little Journey.
Schedule accuracy
Your schedule in Little Journey is only as accurate as the information entered into it, by you or by the families who share activities with you.
- Dates, times, locations, and other details can change, and organizers may not tell us when they do.
- Always confirm important details, such as start times, pickup arrangements, and registration deadlines, directly with the organizer.
- We are not responsible for missed activities, late pickups, missed deadlines, or other problems caused by information that is incorrect, incomplete, or out of date.
Pricing
Little Journey is currently free for Canadian families.
If we ever decide to charge for the service or for certain features, we will tell you in advance, by posting a notice on our website or in the app, or by email to the address on your account. Paid features would only apply if you choose to sign up for them. We would not charge you without your clear agreement.
Intellectual property
- Our content. The service, including its software, design, logos, and the articles on our blog and website, belongs to Little Journey Innovation Inc. or its licensors and is protected by law. You may read, share links to, and print our blog articles for personal, non-commercial use. Please do not copy, republish, or sell them without our written permission.
- Your content. You keep ownership of the information you add to Little Journey. You give us permission to store, display, and process it only as needed to run and improve the service for you, including showing activities to the families you choose to share them with.
- Feedback. If you send us suggestions or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
Privacy
Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Our Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies on our website.
Disclaimers
We work hard to keep Little Journey useful and reliable, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, error-free, or secure from every threat.
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind beyond those that the law requires and that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these terms limits any legal warranty or right you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under the laws of your province or territory.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, such as lost time, lost opportunities, or missed activities, arising from your use of the service.
- We are not liable for the actions, content, or omissions of organizers or of other families, including what they do with information you share with them.
- Because the service is free, our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim.
These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them, including liability for our own intentional or grossly negligent acts, or for bodily or moral injury we cause.
If you live in Quebec: nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right you have under the Quebec Consumer Protection Act or the Civil Code of Québec. Any limitation or exclusion of liability in these terms applies to you only to the extent permitted by those laws.
Ending your use of Little Journey
- You can leave at any time. You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account. When your account is deleted, we delete or anonymize your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, except where we must keep it to meet legal obligations.
- Activities you shared. Once your account is deleted, activities you shared will no longer be shared from your account. We cannot control copies or notes that other families made on their own.
- We may suspend or close accounts. We may suspend or close an account if it breaks these terms, puts other families at risk, or if we are required to by law. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and explain why.
- If we stop offering the service. If we decide to shut down Little Journey, we will give reasonable advance notice so you can save any information you need.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
If you live in another province or territory, you keep any protections given to you by the consumer protection laws where you live. If you live in Quebec, you may bring a claim before the courts of Quebec.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we add features or when the law changes. When we make a change, we will update the effective date on this page. If the change is significant, we will let you know in advance through the website, the app, or by email.
If you keep using Little Journey after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply. If you do not agree with them, you can stop using the service and delete your account.
